Sir Nicolas Wales later became the founder and the first Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Miss Betty Calawa was placed as General Manager, of the now well-renowned cooperative, the BOKOD SULPHUR SPRING MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE (BSSMC).
The BSSMC was registered under the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) in 2014 and became fully operational on March 2, 2015, with only three multi-tasked employees with only ₱717,000, asset.
The NAME Bokod Sulphur Spring Multipurpose Cooperative
COMMEMORATES where the cooperative started, the first incorporators were
people of Daclan, Bokod, Benguet- where the infamous Sulphur Spring is
Located.
